Caring for your hair retexturizer-perm
Please review the following information to become better acquainted with your new service. Feel free to contact us with any questions!
Aftercare instructions
- Do not wash or wet hair for at least 48 hours, which includes sweat. Dry it immediately if it gets any dampness.
- Do not comb, brush, or pull on hair for the first 24 hours.
- Do not dye or lighten your hair for 2 weeks before and after you get a perm.
- Try not to touch hair with anything, including your hands, for 48 hours.
- Avoid getting into a pool or hot tub for 7 days.
- Do not use a blow dryer or straightener iron for 48 hours unless you're diffusing. Perms do best air-dried to cut down on frizz. Diffuse to a certain point, but never to fully dry unless you use lots of product. If you have questions on the best products to use, we will be happy to help you.
- Use only a wide-tooth comb for tangles; do not use a brush. Fingers are best.
Moisturize daily
Make sure to moisturize well with product daily to hydrate your perm. We recommend the Insta Fix from Neuma or the leave-on conditioner from Kevin Murphy.
