Clinically certified trichology in Brighton, MI. We identify the root causes of hair loss and scalp disorders through in-depth scalp analysis, then build personalized, science-based plans that support long-term hair health and regrowth.
Clinically Certified Trichology in Brighton, Michigan
If you are frustrated by thinning, shedding, scalp discomfort, or slow regrowth, trichology is the right place to start. At K Bella Hair Studio & Spa, your care is led by Kristan Sayers, a clinically certified trichologist serving Brighton and Livingston County, with more than 25 years of experience in hair and scalp health.
Trichology is not cosmetic styling. It is the clinical study of the hair and scalp, focused on identifying why hair loss or scalp issues are happening before any solution is recommended.
Understanding the Root Causes
Hair loss and scalp conditions are rarely caused by a single factor. Genetics, hormones, inflammation, nutritional deficiencies, stress, medical conditions, and lifestyle can all play a role, and without proper evaluation, treatments often miss the mark. Our science-based approach identifies the contributing factors so we can build a realistic, customized plan instead of offering quick fixes or guesswork.
Measured, Data-Driven Progress
What sets clinical trichology apart is measurement. During your evaluation we examine your scalp and follicles with a Tricho-scope, a digital scalp microscope, and we capture baseline data using TrichoSciencePro analysis software. At your three-month checkups we re-measure and compare against your baseline, so you can see real, objective progress rather than relying on impressions.
A Personalized Plan to Regrow Your Hair
Trichology is the analysis. The plan that follows is personal, and it is rarely just one thing. For most clients the foundation is the right professional products and targeted topicals, including our XTC Hair Rejuvenation System, supported where appropriate by scalp revitalization (microneedling with growth factors and exosomes) and in-salon low-level laser therapy (LLLT). Ours is a true medical laser, not the LED red-light panels found at gyms or in at-home masks; laser light is focused and reaches the follicle more directly, which is what makes it a clinical treatment rather than a wellness gadget, and for the right candidate it is a valuable part of the plan. We build the combination that fits your biology and your goals, and we teach you to use it consistently, because consistency over time is what regrows hair.
Ethical, Educational Care
Our trichology services are built around in-depth evaluation rather than assumptions, education that helps you understand your own hair loss, customized plans based on your biology rather than trends, and ethical recommendations rooted in research and experience. We do not diagnose medical conditions, but we do identify contributing factors and guide you toward appropriate solutions, referrals, or supportive services when needed. If you want answers instead of sales pitches, a trichology evaluation is the correct starting point.
Your Trichology Experience

- Initial evaluation. Your clinically certified trichologist reviews your history, health, and concerns, then examines your scalp and follicles using a Tricho-scope (digital scalp microscope).
- Baseline measurement. We capture baseline data with TrichoSciencePro software so your hair density and progress can be tracked objectively over time.
- Findings and personalized plan. We explain what we see in plain language and build a customized plan. We identify contributing factors; we do not diagnose medical conditions and refer to a physician when appropriate.
- Treatment. Your plan is built mostly around the right professional products and topicals (including our XTC Hair Rejuvenation System), and may also include scalp revitalization with microneedling, growth factors, and exosomes, and in-salon low-level laser therapy (LLLT), when they suit you.
- Three-month checkups. At each follow-up we re-measure with TrichoSciencePro to compare against your baseline and adjust your plan based on real results.

No. Trichology is not medical diagnosis. We identify contributing factors to hair loss and scalp issues and guide you toward solutions, referring you to a physician when appropriate.

We use a Tricho-scope and TrichoSciencePro software to capture baseline measurements and compare your hair density at three-month checkups, so progress is based on data, not guesswork.

Every plan is personal. For most clients it centers on the right professional products and topicals, and may also include micro-needling and low-level laser therapy (LLLT) when they are a good fit. LLLT is a painless, non-invasive option, and a great choice for the right candidate.
-
No. Many gyms and at-home masks use LED red-light panels. Ours is a true low-level laser (LLLT). Laser light is focused and coherent, so it reaches the scalp and follicles more directly than scattered LED light, which is why it is used as a clinical treatment rather than a wellness gadget. For the right candidate, it is one effective part of a larger plan.
