• Book an appointment through our website or our booking provider
• Subscribe to our email list
• Fill out a contact form, consultation request, or other form on our site
• Enter a contest, promotion, or survey
• Browse the site (anonymous analytics and cookie data described below)

How Do We Use Your Information?

We may use the information you provide in the following ways:

• To schedule, confirm, and follow up on your appointments
• To respond to consultation requests, questions, and feedback
• To send periodic emails about your appointments, our services, promotions, and salon news (only if you have opted in)
• To improve the website and your experience on it
• To understand which portfolio photos and pages lead to bookings, so we can show better work

How Do We Protect Your Information?

We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

• Our website is served exclusively over HTTPS (TLS encryption)
• Personal information is stored behind secured infrastructure with limited staff access
• Payment information is never stored on our servers - all transactions are handled by our point-of-sale and booking provider, Meevo, which is PCI-compliant
• We monitor our site for security vulnerabilities and apply software updates regularly

Third-Party Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to outside parties. We share information only with the service providers we rely on to operate the salon and this website, and only to the extent necessary to deliver the service you requested. Those are our booking and POS provider Meevo, our email marketing platform, and the website tools named under "Cookies and Analytics" below.

Cookies and Analytics

We use a small number of cookies and analytics tools to operate the site and understand how visitors use it.

• Booking attribution cookie (viewed_photo_phashes): a single first-party cookie that records anonymized identifiers of photos you view. It lasts up to 30 days, and viewing another photo extends it. We use this only to understand which portfolio images lead to bookings, so we can show better work. It is not shared with any third party, is not used for advertising, and contains no personal information.
• Google Analytics 4: we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns - which pages are popular, how visitors find us, and where the experience can be improved. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to distinguish unique visitors. The data is aggregated and does not identify you personally to us. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Google Search Console: we use Search Console to understand which search queries lead visitors to our site. Search Console works from server-side data and does not place additional cookies on your browser.
• Functional cookies: standard session cookies that keep our forms and site features working.
• Microsoft Clarity: a session replay and heatmap tool that records how visitors move through the site - what gets clicked, how far people scroll, and where they get stuck - so we can find and fix confusing layouts. Clarity masks the values you type into form fields. We do not load Clarity at all on our consultation, intake, and job application pages, including our trichology, hair loss, and wig and topper pages. We use it only to improve this website.
• Google Tag Manager: the container we use to load the tools listed above. It does not collect anything on its own.
• Cloudflare Turnstile: the spam check on our forms. When you submit a form, Cloudflare receives your IP address so it can tell a person from a bot. It does not track you across sites and we get back only a pass or fail. Without it our inboxes fill with automated submissions.

We do not use advertising pixels, we do not sell or share your information with data brokers, and none of this data is used for advertising or retargeting. We use it for one reason: to understand how people use our website so we can make it better.

Your Choices

• Email: every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time.
• Do not email list: if you unsubscribe from our look emails, we keep your email address on a suppression list so that we can honor that choice. We do not delete it, because deleting it is what would let the emails start again. It is used for nothing else. To start receiving look emails again, use the unsubscribe link in any look email we sent you and choose "Resubscribe" on the page it opens, or just ask us.
• Cookies: you can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Some site features (e.g. forms) may not work normally if all cookies are blocked.
• Do Not Track: browsers send this signal inconsistently and there is no agreed standard for honoring it, so we do not claim to act on it. What we can tell you is that we never sell or share your information with data brokers and never use it for advertising. If you would rather not appear in our analytics, block cookies or turn on your browser's tracking protection.
• Access or deletion: if you would like a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or you would like us to delete it, contact us using the information at the bottom of this page.

Third-Party Links

Our site occasionally links to third-party services (for example, our booking provider, our email platform, social media profiles). Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

Children

Our website is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA).

Email Practices (CAN-SPAM)

We send marketing emails only to subscribers who have opted in. In every marketing email we:

• Identify the message as from K Bella Hair Studio & Spa
• Include the salon's physical address
• Include an unsubscribe link that we honor promptly
• Avoid false or misleading subject lines

Data Breach Notification

If a data breach affecting personal information ever occurs, we will notify affected users within 7 business days of confirming the breach.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

"Email Me This Look" and Photo Attribution

When you use the "Email me this look" button on a photo, we collect your email address along with the photos you viewed so we can send you that look and a booking link. We may later match that email against bookings made through our booking provider (Meevo) to understand which photos prompted appointments. This helps us learn which of our work resonates with visitors.

If a booking is matched, we keep only a non-personal link between the photo and the booking, and we delete the stored email. If no booking is matched, the stored email and viewed-photo record are automatically deleted after six months. You can ask us to delete this information at any time by contacting us.

Separately, we photograph work we do in the salon and publish it: on this website, on our social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, and our Google Business Profile), and on the screens inside the salon. Those posts credit the stylist who did the work. We do not publish client names, contact details, or anything you tell us during a consultation. If a photo of you has been published and you would like it removed, contact us and we will take it down.
