Highlights are not one look. A full foil brightens the whole head for maximum lift. A partial focuses on the top and around the face, where the light naturally hits, for brightness with less commitment. Babylights are delicate, finely woven highlights that mimic the natural lightness children have, perfect for a soft, blended brightness without obvious stripes. In your consultation we will look at your hair and your inspiration photos and decide together which approach, and how much lift, will get you the result you are picturing.

One of the most requested looks we do is a brightened money piece, the face framing pieces that lift and lighten the hair around your face for an instant glow in every photo. It pairs beautifully with a partial foil through the rest of the hair. If you are starting darker and dreaming lighter, we will often build your brightness over a couple of appointments rather than forcing it all at once, which protects your hair and gives a result that looks intentional rather than stripped. Healthy bright hair always beats fast bright hair, and we will design placement that grows out softly so it suits how low maintenance you need it to be.

Lift is still a chemical service, so hair health leads every decision we make. We plan placement and processing around the integrity of your strands and finish with bond building care and a toner or gloss to cancel any unwanted brassiness and leave the brightness clean and polished. The toner is what takes a highlight from yellow to that cool, creamy, salon finish.

Because foils create more visible regrowth than a hand painted color, highlights ask for a little more upkeep, with many guests refreshing every six to ten weeks depending on how bright they go and how fast their hair grows. The trade off is brightness and precision that softer techniques cannot match.
