Brides Project - Sarah, Bree, and Raquel Stepped up!

If you're not familiar with The Brides Project (US), it is a fundraising initiative whose mission it is to support adults and kids impacted by cancer by ensuring sustainable funding to the Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor through the sale of donated wedding dresses. They provide brides with a socially conscious, eco-and-budget-friendly option for purchasing their wedding gowns.

Last Sunday, the Hyatt Place in Ann Arbor donated space for our gathering. Five special women donated their time to model some of the wedding dresses from The Brides Project. We were joined by the Hyatt’s venue manager, 3 glam squad professionals, and a lipstick company all with one mission… to give back to those affected by cancer. The glam squad from K Bella Hair Studio & Spa consisted of Raquel (Hair by Raquel), Sarah (The Hair Diary), and Breanna (Brea Weems skin & makeup) who worked together to do hair and make-up for our models. It truly was a wonderful day for such a wonderful cause!

When 15 women come together in one place, only wonderful and moving things can happen. When it’s for the common good – it becomes an experience that’s almost too hard to put into words. Many left this event saying, “That was amazing!” In the end, it can be summed up by what everyone was wearing as they departed…SMILES!
